The best gymnast will perform at the European Championships!
In just 1 ½ month from now the best gymnast will arrive in Amsterdam and the battle will start: who will become the European
Champions? This will be a fantastic event for the thousands of fans in the Amsterdam RAI.

The Royal Dutch Gymnastics Federation (KNGU), UEG, the city of Amsterdam and all the volunteers are ready.
They are looking forward to start the European Championships.
A lot of work has been done the last months by the organisation and everything will be taken care of.
Just think about the things that need to be arranged for all the coaches, international guests from more than 40 countries,
medical staff, journalist and of course the gymnasts.
Also the interior and apparatus need a lot of attention, so the visitors can see all the routines perfectly and enjoy the
total atmosphere in the Amsterdam RAI.

Gymnastics of extremely high standard at European Championships
Gymnastics keeps on developing; more and more new elements and more complex combinations are performed by gymnasts.
Therefore the audience will be able to enjoy the gymnastics achievements as they have never before been shown in the Netherlands.
In the build-up to the Olympic qualification tournament the participants will do their utmost to attract gymnastic attention
in Amsterdam. Both men and women will compete.
Therefore the national anthem will sound 12 times.
At the men’s all-round finals and apparatus finals: floor, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars and high bar.
At the women’s all-round and apparatus finals: vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor.
