| IG GAIN INCREASE ON SPORTS COUNCIL CORE GRANT FUNDING |

Irish Gymnastics is happy to announce that we have gained a 25% increase in funding from last year (this compared to a 13% increase from 2005-06). Due to the strides made in the modernisation of our sport in that last year we have been rewarded for the additional internal investment we have put into the development of our National Governing Body with an additional €32,000. €20,000 of this additional amount has been allocated to the hosting of the Northern European Gymnastics Championships in October under the ISC Major Home Events section while the remaining €12,000 is spread across the Admin, Strategic Planning & other core activities. This brings the total ISC Grant funding for 2007 to €155,450. While we always want more external funding, we at IG are confident that the increase is proof that as an organisation we are moving in the right direction and can be confident of similar increases in the coming years as we develop further.
