| Garrett Buckley - New IG Women's Coaching Development Officer |

We would like to inform members that Garrett Buckley has joined IG as the new Women's Coaching Development Officer. Garrett has been brought in to replace Aofie Healey who has been offered a funded research post at DCU in her area of expertise. Irish Gymnastics is lucky that Garrett was available to take up post so soon - his qualifications and experience speak for themselves and we are delighted to welcome him to the team. Garrett has a BSc (Hons) in Coaching Science from John Moores University - Liverpool. He was previously employed by the USA Women's Olympic Development programme while living in Virginia. He has a passion for football, currently holds a UEFA 'C' coaching licence and has worked in a professional capacity for a number of professional football clubs including Oldham Athletic & Chester FC (Garrett is also a qualified Tutor & Assessor in Football). Garrett has extensive experience of working as a primary learning mentor & has also worked as a PE co-ordinator for a number of schools and extra curricular projects. Garret will lead on the development of the coaching syllabi of the disciplines of Women’s Artistic & Rhythmic over the coming year.
