After last minute travel re-arrangements the Irish European's MAG delegation has arrived in Birmingham, actually becoming the first team to successfully gain accreditation.

Head of Delegation, Tim O'Donovan, commented...

'There’s a really nice atmosphere here.  It’s pretty surreal how it’s all turned out, and everybody is quite relaxed, and friendly.  It looks like there will be about 20 nations here out of 37.  Today we met the French, Austrians, Belgians, and Slovakians. Slovakia & Austria travelled together by bus. Lots of teams will arrive tomorrow'

Unfortunaley the Senior team will be without one of its core members, Rohan Sebastian. Rohan was due to fly from New York with his coach, Kurt Golder, to the UK at the weekend however with flights cancelled for the forseeable future there was no alternative but to withdraw from competition. This withdrawl will surely impact on the Senior teams ranking as Rohan, along with Luke Carson, was scheduled to compete all 6 pieces with Geoff Rellis and Anthony O'Donnell making up the 3rd scores between them.
