|
|
The Artistic Gymnastics World Championships 2009 officially kick-off tomorrow, October 13, at the O2 arena in London.
The Irish Men, Luke Carson and Rohan Sebastian, are set to step- up to the podium on Tuesday for qualifications.
They had a successful day of podium training on Sunday and are feeling confident.
Carson said: “The Facilities are amazing, class. I just hope it’s a good atmosphere on the day and that I’m this happy at the end of the competition. I’m going for a personal best all around and hoping to stay alive!”
The Irish Women, Rebecca Wallace, Aimee O’Driscoll & Sarah Wedel, are in podium training today and face qualifications on Wednesday.
As the Irish Federation journalist, I will keep you all informed of their progress as the competition unfolds and live coverage of the finals will be broadcast on the BBC from Thursday.
Here’s wishing our gymnasts all the best,
Kathryn Catney.
