| IG ADOPT GARDA VETTING POLICY & PLAN ROLLOUT |

After considerable work over the past few months by the Policy & Welfare Officer (PWO) the Irish Gymnastics Board of Control adopted the new IG Garda Vetting policy & procedure at the board meeting on 27th September 2009. This is a great step forward for our sport in relation to the protection of our members and a natural development that follows on from our recent 'Code of Ethics' developments. Vetting will roll-out initially for all Board, Technical/Regional committee members & staff - rolling out to all adult members in the new year.
