NATIONAL SQUAD SELECTION
If we are to select for 2008 European Championships on 1st December 2007 (which we must do) we may not be giving some new gymnasts the opportunity to Trial as they will not be on the National Squad at this time.
Therefore we propose to hold an early additional National Squad Selection for those gymnasts not already on squad – this will take place in Newry Sports Centre on 20th October 2007 from 5pm – 6.30pm. Any gymnast wishing to trial should contact the TTC on tra@irishgymnastics.ie before Friday 12th October 2007. The national Squad selection in January will go ahead as planned. The TTC National/International selection criteria document will be available in the downloads section of the IG Website. Squad selection is based on ability i.e. FIG ‘B’ minimum for all age-groups

Gymnasts for Trial in December will not be subject to Performance criteria i) ii) iii)
as many will have no performance history at this level etc.
NB Gymnasts for European Championships Trial may guest at NI Closed Championships held on 1st December 2007 9am – 2.30pm – Guest Status requests may be directed to AM Barr at abarr@belfastmet.ac.uk
