Looking to start up a new grass roots/participation club or strengthen your current recreational level programme?

Then this is the route for you…

GYMStart is a new development in the IG coach education ladder. It is designed to educate & facilitate coaches working at the grass roots/participation levels of our sport.

Gymnastics is a multi-discipline sport which sometimes provides newcomers to the sport with a question – which discipline is the one for me?

GYMStart Apprentice Coach is the perfect course for people who don’t know how to answer that question. This course introduces the coach to each of the various disciplines while developing a basic understanding of coaching theory and techniques and is the perfect introduction to the participation level of our sport.

GYMStart Club Coach builds on and develops the knowledge and skills from GYMStart Apprentice by providing the coach with all the necessary skills & coaching techniques partnered with a more developed understanding of the many disciplines of gymnastics to enable the coach to run a full grass roots recreation/participation programme  in a fun and enjoyable club environment.

Even those clubs interested in developing pathways towards performance levels in our sport understand the importance and necessity of a strong grass roots/participation base in their club – the GYM Start courses in parallel with the development of the discipline specific coaching ladder will help support clubs to that end.
